Man taken into custody after trying to climb Sikeston water tower

SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - A man was who tried to climb the Sikeston water tower on Tuesday was quickly taken into custody.

Sikeston Dept. of Public Safety Sgt. James McMillen said an officer contacted firefighters after spotting the man climbing the tower.  Firefighters arrived and were able to bring him back down.

McMillen declined to identify the suspect, but did say he's a 27-year-old white male who has an apparent emotional issue.
