CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Federal charges have been filed against two Cape Girardeau bank robbery suspects, police announced on Tuesday.
Police identified the suspects as Marquel Lee Rhines, 19, of Mounds, IL, and Keiran Dominique Pippins, 18 of Forest Park, Georgia. Both suspects are accused of robbing the First State Community Bank Monday morning. Officers said both drove off after the robbery, but soon abandoned their vehicle and were caught after a brief foot chase.
In addition, Pippins is charged with robbing Capaha Bank last Thursday, police said.
Both suspects are in federal custody.
