LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Louisville coach Steve Kragthorpe says he plans to be back in 2010 despite a second straight losing season for the Cardinals.
Kragthorpe said Monday he is disappointed by Louisville's inability to win. The Cardinals are 4-7 heading into Friday's season finale against Rutgers, the first time in more than a decade Louisville has posted consecutive losing seasons.
Kragthorpe is 15-20 in three years with Louisville and has two years remaining on his contract. He hasn't spoken to athletic director Tom Jurich about the future, but plans to shortly after the season ends.
Senior wide receiver Trent Guy said Kragthorpe deserves more time and credited the coach for trying to rebuild the program the right way.
