CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - A Cape Girardeau County group is one step closer to building a playground children of all abilities can enjoy.
The county commission pledged $150,000 to the Melaina Cunningham and Friends Playground this morning.
Organizers say it will take an estimated $500,000 to build a playground accessible to all children, even those with disabilities.
Plans right now are to build the playground at Cape County Park North.
