SALINE COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Investigators are looking into a bizarre break-in in Saline County.

Renters had just moved out of a rural Galatia home days before someone broke in and removed all the electrical wiring from the attic.

They also stole an electric cook stove.

Cleaning crews reportedly discovered the theft when none of the lights in the house would switch on and the power company assured them it hadn't been turned off yet.

Damage to the home is estimated at $6000.
