PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - A former Paducah postal employee convicted of stealing money will be on probation for the next 2 years, according to U.S. Attorney Candace G. Hill.

Hill said James Moore, 57, of Paducah, previously pleaded guilty to 11 counts of stealing less than $1,000 from the Avondale Post Office on Broadway, where he was employed as a sales associate.  The thefts occurred between July through December, 2008, Hill said.

On Tuesday, Hill said a judge sentenced Moore to two years probation on each count, all of which will run concurrently.

As a part of his probation, Hill said Moore is also required to serve 20 days in federal custody and pay restitution to the U.S. Postal Service.
