SHAWNEETOWN, IL (KFVS) - An autopsy is scheduled after a man's body was found lying in the road between Route 3 and Shawnee Avenue Sunday evening by a young boy. When officers arrived, they thought the man was drunk.
However, after further investigation, they discovered the man had died. Police Chief Robert Patton says the man was identified as a 52-year-old white male from Normal, IL, however his name isn't released.
An autopsy is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday in Carmi, IL. Stay with Heartland News for updates.
