MASSAC COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - A Brookport, Il woman was arrested by Metropolis Police on drug charges.
Mable L. Harris, 37, was taken into custody Friday November, 6th.
Metropolis Police had been investigating prescription drug theft from the Twin Oaks Estates assisted living facility where Harris worked as a clerk.
Home officials had reported to investigators that a quantity of Lortab and Xanax had gone missing.
Investigation led police to suspect Harris.
At the time of her arrest Harris was in possession of 11 Xanax tablets that she had no prescription for.
Harris was charged with possession of a controlled substance, residential burglary and aggravated battery.
