WEST FRANKFORT, IL (KFVS) - The couple charged with the killings of a double homicide in West Frankfort made their first court appearance in Colorado Friday morning where they were arrested.A Colorado judge dismissed their fugitive from justice charges which clears the way for possible extradition back to Illinois.
Michael Schallert and Afton Ferris are charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of Kandis Majors and Terri Seibeck.
Police found the bodies of 32-year-old Terri Seibeck and 28-year-old Kandis Majors inside their home on North Douglas Street on October 19th.
