Good Thursday Morning
Today is October 29, 2009
This morning on The Breakfast Show you will see something on our air you have not seen since the 80's. Heartland News is up and running with a Poplar Bluff bureau and we'll be talking live this morning with Tyler Profilet. Tyler may not be an early riser by nature but today he's up with the best of us and ready to give full coverage of news in this important area of the Heartland. You can see the first reports from Bluff this morning shortly after 5:30 and 6:30.
In the news this morning on The Breakfast Show - the two suspects charged in connection of this week's triple murder in Cape are expected to face a judge today. If you take a minute and go to this page on our web site ... you can read the probable cause statements for yourself. Once on the page scroll down a little, the links are on the right side of the page.
Also this morning - new information about bogus remedies for the common flu and H1N1. Yup - it's the old case of "buyer beware" because if it sounds too good to be true - it probably is. On The Breakfast Show this morning at 6:30 we'll be showing you how some people are selling fake Tami flu and other flu related treatments on-line. We'll also be showing you how the government is trying to identify the sellers down and shut them down.
This morning Brian is also looking ahead to a lot of rain moving into the Heartland. Keep an eye on the StormTeam home page throughout the day to see the progression of the storms that may be moving in later today.
At 6:15 and 6:40 this morning Lauren will be talking live with dietitian Raina Childers - and today's top is only appropriate - pumpkins! You can do much more than carve and bake with pumpkins - Raina and Lauren will be showing you how to mix up what I'll call a pumpkinlicious smoothie (not sure if it's really a smoothie - but that's what I'm going with).
So grab a cup of coffee - or wait to make a smoothie with us - and enjoy The Breakfast Show. Thank you for checking in this morning - and we hope you'll turn us on again tonight when you can. We're here all day on kfvs12.com and later today at noon, 5, 6 and 10.
