PEMISCOT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - The Missouri Highway Patrol arrested two Mississippi men for in a big drug bust on Interstate 55 in Pemiscot County.
The driver, 29-year-old Edward Ammons and his passenger, 27-year-old William Frazier, are both from Jackson, Mississippi face possession of marijuana 35 grams or less and trafficking drugs second degree charges.
They were headed south on the interstate when troopers pulled them over for a traffic violation on October 18th.
During the stop, the trooper noticed the odor of burning marijuana.
After a search, the officer found more than 1,445 capsules of heroin in Frazier's coat sleeve.
They were taken to the Pemiscot County Jail.
