Cab driver robbed in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - Police tell Heartland News around 3:45 a.m. on June 28, a cab driver showed up at 1400 N. Illinois to pick someone up when three black males walked up, showed a gun and demanded money.

According to police, the cab driver was then struck in the back of the head and face with an unknown object.

We're told the three men ran away. The first suspect is about 6'2", 160 pounds and between 17 and 21 years of age, wearing a dark blue nylon hooded jacket with red or white stribes on the sleeve with long, frizzy hair.

The second suspect is about 5'10", 130 pounds and between 17 and 19 years old. He is apparently wearing a dark, long sleeve shirt with a white shirt underneath and blue jeans.

The third suspect is 5'10" with a medium build, between 15 and 17 wearing dark clothing.
