Man killed, teens injured in accident in Perry Co. (IL)

TAMAORA, IL (KFVS) - A 20-year-old man is dead after an accident in Perry County, Illinois on Monday. Police tell Heartland News it happened around 1:20 p.m. CT. 

According to police, 17-year-old Brianna Stehl was driving a 1997 Chevrolet car and was struck in the passenger side by a 1992 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Travis Reidelberger of Waltonville, Illinois. Stehl had three passengers in her vehicle: 19-year-old Thomas Bittle of Tamaora, Illinois, 17-year-old Danielle Burton of Pinckneyville, Illinois and 20-year-old Charles Solt of Coulterville, Illinois.

Reidelberger was taken to Pinckneyville Hospital for treatment. Burton and Solt were taken to Pinckneyville Hospital and transferred to a St. Louis hospital. Stehl and Bittles were both flown from the scene to St. Louis hospitals for treatment.

We're told Solt passed away at a St. Louis hospital from his injuries. The condition of the others are unknown at this time.

The Perry County (IL) Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the accident.
