Cape Catfish hold ribbon cutting ceremony

Ribbon cutting for Cape Catfish

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - The Cape Catfish are getting ready for the first season in town.

The team celebrated its Grand Opening and ribbon cutting with Chamber of Commerce.

The team has already signed 25 players, and has 7 more spots to fill.

General manager Mark Hogan is looking forward to their first home game in June.

"Well we're filling in some blanks right now but the facility itself is getting major upgrades for fans," he said. "We're totally excited about that. And then we're just planning on putting a good ball club on the field having great food, a family atmosphere and a new beautiful Capaha Park."

The team will open their season at home against the DuPage Pistol Shrimp.
