Flooding forces Paducah park areas to temporarily close

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Flooding has caused park areas in Paducah, Kentucky to close to the public.

According to Paducah Parks and Recreation Department officials, localized flooding led to the closing of the following areas effective immediately.

  • Disc Golf Course at Stuart Nelson Park 
  • Greenway Trail between Noble Park and Stuart Nelson Park 
  • Greenway Trail between Stuart Nelson Park and County Park Road

Officials said sections of the gravel on the Greenway Trail are under water as well.

Road closed signs will be posted to alert the public.

These facilities will reopen after waters recede and the areas are free of debris according to officials.
