CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -Good Tuesday Evening Heartland. We are watching an area of precipitation moving towards the Heartland. This will cause rain, possibly mixed with snow at times, to begin fall throughout the evening hours. The greatest threat of seeing accumulating snow will be across our northwestern counties where a winter weather advisory is in effect. Heavy rain with isolated thunderstorms will develop across the southern half of the Heartland tonight. Some areas could receive over two inches of rain in our southeastern counties and this could lead to flooding concerns. Temperatures will slowly rise across the Heartland after midnight.
Wednesday we will see a few showers early, especially across our eastern counties. Highs will range from the middle 40s north to lower 50s south.
