Slushy, slick roads are possible across northern parts of the Heartland early this evening. Heavy to moderate rain is expected across much of the area. Temperatures will slowly warm overnight, changing the snow to rain everywhere by midnight. One to three inches of rain is likely, with the heavier amounts in Kentucky, Tennessee and the Bootheel. Rain will come to an end from west to east through the day on Wednesday. Highs on Wednesday will be in the 40s and 50s. We are watching for another round of rain and thunderstorms Saturday, some of these storms could be strong or even severe.
