Tonight will be dry and chilly, but more rain and wintry precipitation will take over on Tuesday afternoon and evening. Tuesday will start dry but mixed precipitation will move in from the southwest by the afternoon and evening hours. It will start as snow or a wintry mix across and then change to rain as we move deeper into the evening hours. The timing of the event is not ideal, as it could be snowing and slippery for the evening commute. By time everyone wakes up on Wednesday, most of the snow will be gone as it melts under the rain and milder temperatures. More heavy rain is possible south of the Ohio River in Kentucky and Tennessee. We are watching for another round of rain and possibly stormy weather over the weekend.
