Family of missing woman increases reward to $5,000

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - The family of an elderly woman who went missing last month is now offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to her being found.

That’s up from the $3,000 that was originally offered last week.

Pandora Duckett, 85, went missing Jan. 28.

On the day she disappeared, a woman drove her to a nearby convenience store where she went inside. The woman dropped her off near her home.

She told the woman she lived in the house where she was dropped off, but it was the wrong house.

Pandora has only lived in the house near Raleigh for a month and a half. She lived near the Jackson area for 20 years.

Now, her family is hoping this reward will lead to her safe return.

“I don’t want this to be one of those one-week stories that goes away,” said son Kim Duckett.

Kim said his family is holding onto hope.

“As a family unit we’re doing our best to keep it together,” Kim said. “Focus on what we need to get done and that’s to get my mom home safely.”

The Duckett family spent the last several weeks searching for any sign of the beloved mother and grandmother.

“We haven’t found her on any of the searches between myself, sheriff’s office, out in any woods, or anything,” Kim said. “That tells me she’s somewhere safe and we just need to find out where that is and get her home.”

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies used specialized deputies during the search.

A search dog team also volunteered to follow the scent in this case. While Kim and his family keep up their search, they’re hoping the reward will bring more information forward.

“Just hoping to spark more interest and more people looking,” Kim said. “Just maybe remembering things that they didn’t were important that may actually help out.”
