Mayfield, KY man charged with DUI after crash

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Graves County Sheriff’s Office responded of a single-vehicle crash on KY 464 near Hillmount Drive on Saturday, Feb. 16.

According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, at around 5:20 a.m. Brandon Arellano, 20, of Mayfield, Ky. was traveling on KY464 with two passenger when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the road, hitting four mailboxes. He came back across the roadway and down an embankment before hitting a ditch.

Arellano was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center with facial lacerations. The passengers in the vehicle refused treatment.

Arellano was arrest on First-Degree Aggravated DUI, two counts of First-Degree Wanton Endangerment and four counts of Third-Degree Criminal Mischief.

A passenger in the vehicle Jordan Melgarejo, 18, was charged with Possession of Marijuana.

The Mayfield Graves County EMS and the Graves County Fire and Rescue Department assisted at the scene.
