CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -Good Wednesday Evening Heartland. We are enjoyed a drier day across the Heartland with mostly sunny skies filtered by high thin cirrus clouds at times. Temperatures this evening will fall into the lower 40s after sunset and remain there for the overnight hours. Southerly winds and off and on clouds will keep temperatures from falling very far overnight.
Thursday will be partly to mostly cloudy with mild temperatures. It will be breezy as well with winds gusting up to 40 MPH at times. Highs will reach the middle 50s.
Latest information coming into the weather center still shows a chance of freezing, sleet, and snow late Friday. We will continue to update this trend throughout the day Thursday.
