(KFVS) - Happy Valentines Day! It is Thursday, Feb. 14.
This morning will be mild and that will last into today with temps around 50 degrees.
Lisa Michaels says it will be very windy today and we could see some light rain or sprinkles this afternoon.
In the afternoon or evening we could see some wintry weather and even some travel troubles.
A system will come into the Heartland and bring snow north of a line that generally runs east and west through Cape Girardeau.
Below that line we could see ice or freezing rain and that could knock out power lines or make travel extremely difficult.
Saturday should be warm enough to melt some of the ice and snow, but we could see re-freezing Saturday night into Sunday morning.
- The Ohio River Bridge between Cairo, Ill. and Wickliffe, Ky. shut down after a crash on Wednesday.
- Authorities are looking for a man who is banned from the Commonwealth of Kentucky but was found staying in Wingo.
- Carbondale and Marion Chambers of Commerce both joined the statewide call for employer protections.
