JACKSON, MO (KFVS) - A dispatcher with the Jackson Police Department is being remembered after battling cancer.

In a Facebook post, Jackson Police stated Billi Jo Knight passed peacefully on Feb. 11.

The City of Jackson is honoring the life the communications officer.

A visitation for Knight will be held Friday afternoon, Feb. 15.

Her funeral is scheduled for Saturday.

After she was diagnosed with cancer in 2017, the department and community rallied to support her in her fight.

The Cape Girardeau Co. Sheriff’s Office also posted on Facebook, “We are saddened to hear of the loss of Jackson Police Communications Officer Billi Jo Knight. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and coworkers.”
