Rain will be the main story today. Moderate to heavy widespread rain will continue to move through during the day today. There is a small chance of hearing thunder in some central and southern counties later this afternoon and evening, but it will not be severe. Flooding will be a concern especially since some areas could see another 2-3 inches of rain through tomorrow afternoon. A flood watch is issued through Tuesday morning. High temperatures will be in the low 40s to low 50s. Areas of patchy to dense fog can be expected during the morning hours.
Tuesday will start off with morning showers, but a cold front will clear out the rain early allowing sun during the afternoon with falling temperatures. However, winds will be quite breezy with gusts between 30 and 40mph.
We look to have a short break from the rain mid week, but another chance for showers returns during the end of the week. On the bright side, the weekend as of now looks to be dry, sunny, but cool.
