Emergency repairs take place at Dyer Co. Little Levee near Caruthersville, MO

DYER COUNTY, TN (KFVS) - Emergency repairs have begun at the Island 18 Dikes and Dyer County Little Levee in Dyer Co, Tennessee.

This is due to flooding damage over the past several years, according to the Memphis District Corps of Engineers.

This is just south of the I-155 interchange bridge crossing and Caruthersville, Mo.

Repairs are needed to help maintain main channel navigation and reduce risk to the flood risk management system, according to the Corps.

The work is expected to be complete by the first week of February 2019.

The total costs of repairs is around $2,750,000.
