(KFVS) - The 10th anniversary of a major ice storm that hit parts of the Heartland will be Saturday and Sunday, January 26-27.
In Missouri, it left more than 7,000 customers in the state without power for weeks. Hundreds of southeast Missouri residents sought emergency assistance.
By August, parts of western Kentucky were still cleaning up the broken limbs and downed trees from the ice.
About nine months later, in October, doctors were delivering “Ice Storm Babies.” We talked to one couple who were expecting their first child nine months after the ice storm.
