PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Services in the City of Paducah, Kentucky will be impacted by the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday on Monday, Jan. 21.
City Hall and the parks and Recreation Department will be closed.
Curbside recycling will not be collected by the Engineering-Public Works Department.
City officials said recycling will resume Tuesday. Residents that have recycling collected on Monday will have it collected the following day instead.
The garbage schedule will not be changed for January 22 through 25.
The Compost Facility will be closed during the weekdays until further notice. City officials said this is due to the routine grinding of the brush.
On the federal holiday, the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. March to the Monument and Luncheon will take place. The march starts at 10 a.m. at the Robert Cherry Civic Center.
The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Civic Center.
