Sikeston man facing charges for armed robberies at Gas and Goodies

Suspect wanted in Sikeston armed robberies

SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - Sikeston, Missouri Department of Public Safety officers have arrested a man in connection to an armed robbery at Gas and Goodies on West Malone Ave.

The robbery happened on Friday, October 12 and October 29.

21-year-old Jamal Oscar Brooks was arrested outside a northwest Cape Girardeau residence at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7.

He will be transported back to Sikeston and is facing several charges for both robberies.

Brooks is being charged with two counts of robbery 1st armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon. Bond was set at $100,000 cash only.

Sikeston DPS was assisted by the Cape Girardeau Police Department.

According to Sikeston DPS, the suspect showed a small automatic handgun and asked for money during the robbery on October 12.
